Smog from the Canadian wildfires is still with us.  I am sure that this part of the Hudson River Valley is beautiful, if we could only see it!  Rented a car today to explore the area.  Traveling a few miles north provided us with clear skies and a hot summer day.  Several short walks today to see the sights.  Castle Rock was first on our list.  This castle is rumored to be the inspiration for the wicked witch's castle in the Wizard of Oz, one of my all time favorite movies.  A short car ride around extra curvy mountain roads brought us to West Point, Bannerman Castle, Croton Dam, and Sleepy Hollow.  Heading to Kingston tomorrow to stay at Rondout Yacht Marina.  Meeting up with a friend who will enjoy the fireworks with us.  Happy fourth of July!
