Late start today as we have a short trip to Bobby’s Fish Camp. Although all of the guide books rave about this place, it seems their best days are behind them. The restaurant closed some years ago when the patriarch of the family passed away. Today we were met by a curmudgeon, although not that old, the new owner was not very congenial. He charges twice the price of marinas on the river and has half of the amenities, only a dock and electricity tonight! I assume this landmark stop will be removed from all of the guidebooks of this area!

The landscape is beginning to change again and we are seeing more trees having Spanish Moss, brown pelicans and one of the boats saw an alligator. I guess we will need to be careful when heading out on the dinghy!

Our trip today.
