Started out late today as we only have a few hours to go today.  Less than excited about our first lock in Troy, NY.  Definitely an experience and thankfully made it through our first lock without incident.  Seems fairly easy to do, although the sound of the lock door closing was a bit unsettling.  Staying in Waterford tonight on a "free" wall.  Actually they did charge a nominal fee for electricity and water ($10).  Not much to see in Waterford.  Small waterfront community with few storefronts or historical sites within walking distance.  Tomorrow it will be on to the "flight" of 5 locks.
