We left Oswego early this morning (7 a.m.) to begin our ~ 7 hour trip across the east end of Lake Ontario, destination Kingston and Confederation Basin Marina.  Although the weather is nice today the smoke from the wildfires is present again, limiting our visibility.  Our plan is to stay here for a few days and plan our approach to the Trent Severn waterway.  Although the seas were quite mild today- 1-2 foot seas- it was quite a rocky ride.  Still getting used to the "slow roll" we feel on this tugboat.  Very different from our Boston Whaler that could plow through the waves.  It is also the first time for both of us to be out of sight of land while boating.  A new experience that we will encounter again later in our trip.

Kingston is fairly large city that caters to tourism.  We took some time today to walk the city to get a lay of the land.  Planning on taking a trolley ride around town tomorrow to check out some of the museums and historic sites.

Day 29 on to Kingston
