We started out early today as we have a long ride to the one and only lock today! Looking forward to an easy lock day.  We did have some rain overnight, thankfully no strong thunderstorms or tornadoes.  The fog and drizzle remained with us for most of the day as we traveled across Rice Lake and up the Otonabee River.    By the time we made it to Peterborough it was sunny and hot.  We plan on staying here for a few days to take a much needed break from the traveling and the locks.  

We took a walk around town and found the grocery store and several shops. we will spend a few days here, planning our trip and stocking the boat. I also took time to wash the boat today. Although not as bad as being in saltwater, the boat was covered with small bugs and a variety of spiders!
