Finally made it to Essex today (day 4).  Smooth ride for the entire 6+hours.  Quaint coastal town with a few good restaurants and the home of the Connecticut River Museum.  If you are traveling here via boat know that there is limited access to provisions-no grocery, convenience, or pharmacies within walking distance. Thankful for friends that came to visit to chauffeur us to the grocery store and a much needed stop at West Marine for supplies.

Our Route Today Pt. Judith - Essex Ct.

Able to make an appointment to add AIS (location system) and replace an antenna on Monday.  Looks like we will be here for a few days relaxing and visiting with friends.

Day 8 - D.G. and his son Peter here to install our AIS system and a new antenna. Thanks to the generosity of Wilde Yachts we were able to dock here and wait on the work and the weather.  Highly recommend Ben & Paul (brokers) and all associated with them.  You will not find a better team of professionals to service your Nordic Tug.

Days 4-8 actually became days 4-9! There are many things we cannot control, the weather included.  We will be now heading to New Haven, CT tomorrow as the weather seems to be improving.  Hoping to settle in for our first night on the hook-on anchor for you non-boaters.

The view of my backyard this week.
