We left a Little Current late this morning as the weather was initially windy and rainy. As the morning progressed the wind died down and we decided to move on to Kagawong. Kagawong is a short ride, about three hours away. It’s a small water front community, having a year round population of about 300. Both "Never Home" and "Shorebilly" are heading there as well to hike to Bridal Veil Falls.
We arrived early at ~12:30 and joined up with our friends to take the shot hike to the falls. It was a busy day at the Falls with several families picnicking or swimming. We took some time to explore the small town, their museums, and the small requisite shops that we are finding in many of the towns along the bay. Again, the population here is about 500 year round residents, less than Parkwood Beach!
One of the most interesting sites was the "Sailor's Church". The Church is nautical themed having a pulpit made from the battle ship that sunk here in Gore Bay.

We finally cooked the last of the salmon we caught in Oswego. Our boat neighbors- Rob & Susan invited us over on their 32' sailboat for a bit of conversation. They are from Michigan on a two week vacation in Georgian Bay. Shared some stories and advice about traveling down the coast of Michigan later this month.
The marina here is nothing more than a few well worn docks with an ice cream shop in the store and steps from the town shops and beach. We would suggest stopping here for the easy hikes and history, but an overnight at Gore Bay may be a better choice!
