Dave picked me up at 7 a.m. sharp this morning to head out on the bay in his dinghy to fish for salmon.  Dave, being from Canada and having been in several fishing tournaments, was a great fishing partner to have today.  The start of the morning was cold, ~50°, and overcast.  For the first few hours we trolled around the bay with about 30+ boats and had no luck hooking up to a fish.  We did have several fisherman pointing and laughing at us as we meandered around the bay!

It started to rain and we decided to slowly head back to the boat.  As we were heading back in we hooked up to a King Salmon.  Unfortunately it was covered in lampreys and we let it go.  Within a few minutes we hooked up to a Cohoe Salmon-instant dinner for six!  We hooked up one more time, but lost the fish and the lure.  Must have been a big one!
