Although we soon realized that Adam & Gal would not be able to see us in Park City due to the Iran conflict we decided to stick with the plan and continued to head north. Since Park City is more than an 8 hour drive we decided to stop on our way there and visit Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe bend. As this is in the Navajo Nation you must to a guided tour to visit the area. We chose a smaller tour company, Ligai Si Anii and were not disappointed! No timed entry, no crowds, hiking at our own pace and a private guide for the two of us!! I would definitely recommend this tour as opposed to the larger bus tours offered in the area.

Antelope Canyon and the surrounding area is simply breathtaking! Although our guide, Tiffany, was a bit reserved she was an amazing photographer. I chatted her up about her life on the reservation and she shared how different life is raising her children here vs. her siblings living and raising a family in the "big" city. We enjoyed our 2+ hour private tour in the off the beaten track canyon. Since Horseshoe bend was only a few minutes away in Page, AZ we stopped there before heading to our hotel for the evening in Beaver, Utah. (That is an entirely different story and one you'll need to ask me about!") BTW best pasta dish I have had on this trip.

We arrived in Park City on my birthday, March 5th. Barak and Orly greeted us with a wonderful birthday dinner complete with Happy Birthday signage, dinner candles, and cake. Although Park City has been lacking snow we were lucky enough to arrive to ~ 10 inches of new powder overnight. After a quick stop for ski rentals I was ready to go skiing skiing on Friday. Orly and Barak were gracious hosts and although we are all missing Gal and Adam we enjoyed our time skiing, going out to dinner and exploring Park City.

Our final evening her we enjoyed a phenomenal fondu made by Barak. A first for Dan and enjoyed by all.
