Santorini days 9-17
After a whirlwind experience in Israel we moved onto Santorini and met up with Nick, and Gal's father Barak and her two sisters, Dar & Shai. We spent several days and nights exploring this island hiking, beaching, and eating our way over this volcanic island.

Santorini 2025
We stayed on the "quiet side" of the island near Kamari beach known for its black sand. Although a beautiful beach, its volcanic rock makes it a difficult entrance to the water. Later in the week we found Monolithos beach. The same interesting black sand but soft and easy to enter. This is a quiet beach, less tourists, more locals.
During the week we completed several hikes, including the length of the island from Fira to Oia. Although a long, hot day, the views were definitely worth it! I have to say it was nicer than driving in Santorini! Not a place I would ever drive as the roads are narrow and winding. It was difficult to even watch from the back seat as we traveled along winding roads having several hairpin turns.
During our stay we rented a catamaran for the day and took a tour of the island. We made a stop at the famous Red Beach, White Beach, the "hot" springs (they weren't that hot), and a quiet beach having access only by water where we stopped and were treated to a traditional lunch. Spent the day swimming, sunning and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

While we were here we celebrated a few birthdays. Adam and Nick both had a birthday in Santorini, Gal's was the day we flew out of Athens and Dan just a few days later.

Next saying goodbye to the group and onto Athens for a few days before heading home.
